I don’t like being dizzy and nauseated.
Laura B.’s latest MRI was clear, no cancer.
It hasn’t been fun getting here, but Mike J. is next in line for a new liver.
Kay C. is in Turlock waiting for an emergency apendectomy, surprise!
Juli L. wasn’t hurt when her little car was run over by the big mean truck.
I still think there’s plenty to pray about.

People tell me that they don’t have much to pray about. That they run out pray topics quickly.
Consider the hundreds or thousands of people that you see each day, that can use a blessing.
There is family, friends, acquaintances that we don’t see but know of and care for.
Then there is the news media. Go to your favorite news source and you will find many reasons to pray.
God can change the news if we humble ourselves and pray.
Oh Lord, stuck in Luke 10 again.

In the 1980’s California had an extended drought. My father read an article about small forest creatures and their drought inflicted suffering.
He prayed daily for the “little creatures in the forest” until the dry years ended. I admired my father, I also thought he was a little weird.
People all over the world are suffering. War, famine, evil governments, and hopelessness fill the earth.
People in our community are suffering. Broken families, lives ruined by substance abuse, abuses of every kind…
Pray daily for humanity until God’s mercy comes.

Today I counted cars (ones with people in them) on one cross town trip. Actually only half a trip.
Riverbank to MJC, over 1000 cars, dozens of pedistrians, and a few bicycles.
In one trip I saw so many people in need of a savior, in need of God’s grace!
I tried to pray for each one. The prayers were short. God show your power in Stanislaus County.
The world is huge. So many people. God help us, rain mercy upon us.

By bed time tonight each of us will have seen hundreds of other people.
We may just drive by them on the road or walk past them in a store or office.
Many of these people need hope. Many of these people need Jesus.
Pray that God will send workers to bring good news to these people.
